Richard’s Story
I am proud to be participating in the Rat Race 100 mile Castle to Castle: Edinburgh to Glamis 2026 personal ultramarathon on 25 July 2026, dedicating every step to support the incredible work of East Anglian Air Ambulance.
This charity provides lifesaving critical care around the clock across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk. Whether by air or road, their specialist doctors and paramedics are there for the most seriously ill and injured people when every second counts.
Their commitment goes beyond transport; they bring hospital-level treatment straight to the scene — from blood transfusions and pain relief to anaesthesia and emergency surgery — giving patients the best possible chance of survival. The dedication and compassion they show inspire me deeply. But this vital service depends entirely on public support.
